Cynthia (Artemis Psychology Services) is a registered psychologist with over 20 years’ experience. She has a particular interest in working with people who have experienced complex trauma and passionate about uncovering individuals’ path to post-traumatic growth. After spending covid in Cairns, Cynthia has relocated back to Brisbane during 2023 and is available Face to Face in Springwood & Online.

For those who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, anger, substance, or adjustment issues and want change and recovery, Artemis Psychology Services can provide support. Cynthia uses a variety of evidence-based and solution-focused interventions including Interactive Drawing Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Focused Therapy, Feminist approaches to Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Life Coaching for ADHD and EMDR Therapy.

Cynthia has extensive experience in working with male and female survivors of sexual, physical, and emotional violence, across the lifespan. She has been practicing trauma-informed approaches for fifteen years and has lived experience of trauma & ADHD. She has trained and worked as a specialist counsellor in Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault services throughout Queensland. Worked with specific groups such as CALD, LGBTIQ, adolescents in foster care, people with disabilities and neurodivergent youth & young adults, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander in regional & remote areas.

She has facilitated group workshops for male and female survivors of sexual assault, healthy relationships for teenagers, relationship program for prisoners, attachment training for parents & carers, and substance abuse recovery programs. Cynthia works with clients in a collaborative process which increases their knowledge, skills, adaptability, building on clients’ resilience to adjust to life’s challenges.

Bachelor of Psychology (Honours); currently completing a graduate Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis & Strategic Psychotherapy.

Structural Dissociation & Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing Therapy Certification (EMDRAA member);
