Meet Cynthia

Cynthia is passionate about working with men, women, non-binary people and youth who have experienced adverse events and uncovering their path to recovery. She has worked as a specialist trauma therapist for 16 years. For those who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, substance issues, PTSD, dissociation, anger or adjustment issues and want change, Artemis Psychology can help you to recover your balance.

Cynthia has worked in the hospitality and gold mining industries before venturing into psychology. She has lived experience of trauma and is comfortable talking with people from all walks of life. She has a special interest in working with neurodivergent people, DVA/veterans, NDIS and WorkCover participants, and health professionals who may be experiencing workplace overwhelm, autistic burnout, compassion fatigue or vicarious trauma. All are welcome.

How therapy can help

Cynthia uses a variety of evidence-based and solution-focused interventions including IDT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Schema Therapy, NLP, Narrative Therapy, DBT and EMDR.

She also works with teenagers and young adults who have been diagnosed with ASD/ADHD and can offer screening, testing and coaching to enhance belongingness and self-worth.

Neurodivergence is a type, not a disorder.

Face-to-face & telehealth appointments

Cynthia is available for face-to-face sessions at The Junction, 200 Kingston Road, starting 5 October 2026, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and every second Saturday.
